Based on her study of around 1500 POW documents that are at the US Air Force Academy, Holly will look at the East Prussian offensive, from the perspective of the POWs from Stalag 1A (and then later how they memorialized this and what a transnational experience being a POW is).
Holly Harris is an incoming Moody Fellow and History Ph.D. student at Southern Methodist University. She currently holds research fellowships with the Air Force Academy and University of Illinois’ Russian and Eastern European Center. Holly just graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.A. in History and a fellowship with the Gilder Lehrman Institute for American History. Holly’s specialization is in airmen prisoners of war in the European theater.
