How to make a video interesting?
It’s not about adding MORE cuts.
It’s about adding the RIGHT cuts.
How do you do that?
You have to follow the natural flow of attention.
Attention ebbs and flows — it goes up and down.
Whenever you do or say something interesting in your video,
attention naturally peaks.
Whenever you’re slowing down and finishing a thought,
attention dips.
If you let attention dip too much — people will scroll past you.
But there’s a simple way for any content creator to know:
Blinking.
A blink means a re-focus of the eyes.
Re-paying attention.
Use your own blinks as indication of where to cut, add an effect, or move the camera.
It will make your videos better.
