What to see in Portugal? Evora is1h30 min away from Lisbon has its entire old city designated as an UNESCO world heritage site. With many monuments spread in the old city, any visit turns into a travel in time. Outside Evora, the beautiful countryside of Alentejo hides some great wineries. We visited the Cartuxa Winerey / Adega de Cartuxa and had lots of fun seeing, smelling and tasting Alentejo wines in a hystorical monument building that used to be part of a monastery complex. The kids enjoyed the stories about the wine production, old instruments for winemaking and huge barrels.
