Objectives
1. Discuss the history of aortic valve repair, highlighting key challenges, landmark achievements and current obstacles to increasing access to this procedure
2. Describe the surgical geometry of the aortic valve complex and how common congenital and acquired morphological abnormalities lead to insufficiency
3. Explain the contribution of the key parameters measured in perioperative imaging to surgical decision-making
