Hannah Hoekstra, a young actress from the Netherlands, is not famous to the mass audience - she films in mid-range European cinema and plays in the theater in The Hague. However, in 2015, the stars aligned, the developers from Guerilla Games got a sight of her on TV and offered the role of Aloy - the main character of the post-apocalyptic action game in the open world of Horizon: Zero Dawn and Horizon: Forbidden West.
Luckily for us, Hannah agreed to make a present of her precious appearance (another actress was engaged in the sound recording) and played her role well, which was noticed by the game critics.
