Knitknot is an award-winning architecture collective that explores collaborative forms of design, and whose practice recuperates the value of the act of building to mobilize social consciousness. They recently worked with earth-construction techniques to provide alternatives to standard processes of construction that reduce architecture to a commodity. Knitknot was founded in 2013 by Diana Cristobal, Maria Esnaola, Alicia Hernanz, Gonzalo J Lopez, Alfonso Simelio and Tania Oramas.
