LOTR: How this ICONIC scene with Legolas came to be!
In The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Legolas has an iconic scene at Helm's Deep where he snowboards down an Uruk shield to help Gimli and Aragorn. Although initially done by a stunt double, Orlando Bloom performed the stunt himself for authenticity. He acknowledged that it might not fit Tolkien's vision but was important for the character and Peter Jackson's film.
