Intergalactic Vs Stellar Blade AGAIN!
Naughty Dog's new upcoming game Intergalactic sparked some debate in my timeline, but also some excitement.
This person is genuinely excited for the game because it's a new Naughty Dog IP. Their gameplay has been solid lately, which is true, despite their story being utter garbage. And the "optimization" for PS5 and PS5 Pro will be "master level." Well, yeah. It's a Naughty Dog game. Of course, it's going to be out on PlayStation first before the PC in a couple of years after that. It's going to be master level to the only platform it will run the game on. It has to be.
This person refused to give in and buy the game because the main character is ugly. Man, does everything have to be compared to Stellar Blade these days? This is a wild comparison if you ask me. Stellar Blade's Eve has proper lady's underwear, but the Intergalactic woman is using men's underwear. I guess he doesn't like women that looked too masculine for his taste. That's fine. It's your taste after all, but the underwear comparison is freaking bizarre.
This guy got utterly ratio-ed because I guess playing video games based on how their female characters looked is a dumb reason after all, right? Or more accurately, based on what underwear they're wearing. Personally, he can buy or not buy a game for whatever reason he has. I support the consumer's choice to buy or not to buy a product for whatever reason, even if it's a dumb reason. You can argue whether it's a dumb reason or not below.
Would I buy Intergalactic? Hell no. It's not how the protagonist looks that makes me not want to buy this game. I played games where my character looks butt ugly. I wouldn't buy it because it's a Naughty Dog game, which means it's a PlayStation exclusive for the first couple of years before going to PC, and I'm not buying a PS5 just for that.
