Movies Are Too Long Now! - Rant
I was supposed to see the new Elvis movie a few days ago but didn't realize until a little before the movie showtime that it was 2 hours and 45 minutes long! That was a hard "NO" from me. Movies are getting way too long now. Like an old man yelling at kids to get off his lawn, I'm going to aggressively get mad about movie runtime. Sure, occasionally a set of films will justify the long runtime (Lord of the Rings Trilogy) but often they overstay their welcome (The Hobbit Trilogy). Movies need to get back to the basics. Simpler plots, quotable dialogue and a shorter length!
