This week I look at making a Diegetic UI.
Diegetic UI is UI made to look like it is entirely part of the game’s narrative. It is something that the character would interact with in their world. If it exists in the physical space of the video game, and is something the character could interact with, it is considered Diegetic UI (Andrews, 2010).
After Looking at Arcadian Rift's Gun Counter I decided I could recreate this in the Godot Game engine. To add a bit of extra challenge I decided to set a time of ten minutes to do it!

The Ammo counter has been around for a long time and making it in godot is relatively simple using a viewport and rendering it to a texture.
