One of my biggest priorities with my art right now is to work on fundamentals. It's an often tedious activity, but I thought I'd try and make it fun by working on two quick compositions studies in gouache.

Painting in gouache is always an interesting experience, it's such a versatile medium and can be used a bit similarly to oils in terms of general technique. I've been trying to get better at painting with gouache lately, and I think it's paying off! certainly gives me an excuse to work more in my sketchbook.
