How to make IMEI backup file with Mobileuncle MTK IMEI Write Tool
Manually making IMEI backup file with Mobileuncle MTK IMEI Write Tool. The whole process is fairly easy except the software language is in Chinese. So, today I am going to show you how you can use Mobileuncle MTK IMEI Write Tool to take a backup of your IMEI number in "IMEI.bac" file format. This tool is very useful if you forget to take a backup of your IMEI before flashing your ROM. You can use mobile uncle tool to restore this IMEI in your mobile. Download the software here:

Save "IMEI.bac" file in Micro SD card's root directory (do not put it within any folder). And after installing your ROM, root your phone if it's not pre-rooted (custom ROMs are normally rooted).
I used King Root app for rooting my device. It works for most Chinese and generic phones. Also supports older models of branded phones (won't work for new models, but you can give it a try). ***Root your phone at your own risk. Don't blame me if things go wrong.
