How to check display server on Pop!_OS Linux 22.04
How to check which display server session you are running: X or Wayland.
First method is to echo out the value in a login shell environmental variable, the second is to check the main GUI settings for Gnome desktop, the third method is to determine if you are running a systemd session first, then using session values with the loginctl login manager.
