The Geo-Institute Technical Committees will be holding our 7th Annual Live Streaming Web Conference December 5-9. Each day a diverse set of case histories will be presented by top geotechnical professionals. Each event runs 2 hours and includes opportunities to interact with presenters, and PDHs are available for all paid sessions. ASCE will present a lunch and learn session during the event on December 6, 2022. Muhammad Amer, Managing Director of the Transportation and Development Institute and Future World Vision, will present.

This presentation will provide an overview of ASCE’s Future World Vision initiative (www.futureworldvision.org), expand on the need to think about plausible scenarios in the distant future and thread them back to impact our thoughts and approach towards the built infrastructure, introduce the Mega City 2070 desktop platform as a “walk into the future” stimulation and provocation tool, and talk about its application in practice and academia. You will also learn how to get involved with the initiative and serve as ASCE’s ambassador for the program as a Future World Visionary.
