I take a short detour from my regular documentarian style blogs to critically address the phenomena within the world of Star Wars fandom known as the Fanboy. In this documentarian style blog I first define what a Fanboy is, and how they differ from the passionate die-hard Star Wars fans. Then I tell my own story of my history with Star Wars, from how I became an immediate fan back in 1977, when I went to see the first Star Wars film, to how the Star Wars Saga has shaped my life in the present. I then examine the paradigm of how the Fanboys in our culture have bashed both the Prequel Star Wars Trilogy and the Special Edition versions of the Original Star Wars Trilogy. Then I critique the attitude of the Fanboys in how they have spewed their vitriolic hatred towards George Lucas. After that I give my own defense of the Prequel Star Wars Trilogy, as well as defend the superiority of the Special Edition versions of the Original Star Wars Trilogy. I finish with an critical examination of the best and worst parts of the changes that Lucas made with the Special Edition versions of the Trilogy.
