How to Make $490 With Covered Calls

I’ll show you step by step how you can make around $400 every month selling covered calls.
1. Choose a stock you’re bullish on and buy 100 shares. I like Amazon 🙂
2. Click on Trade and Trade Options
3. Set my toggle to Sell and Call and choose an expiration date that is 30-45 days away
4. Choose a $200 strike call
5. Sell 1 contract for around $490
6. Submit!
If Amazon goes above $200 at time of expiration, I get to keep $490 worth of premiums and sell my 100 shares for around $1,000 capital gains. If Amazon stays below $200, I get to keep my 100 shares of Amazon and the $490 worth of premiums and sell another covered call next month.
