How to Fix SONY Android TV Not Turning On! (Main Board Swap!)
I picked up a Sony Bravia XBR55X810C for FREE that stopped working and challenged myself to see if I can get it working. Symptoms include no power on plugging into the wall and testing turning it on. Power board in standby showed voltages just fine. After swapping power board, TV stayed off. After swapping MAIN board, TV is alive again!
How to fix:
1. Remove back cover
2. Test voltage of power board with cord plugged into wall
3. Order appropriate board
A. No voltage on power board? Replace that
B. Yes voltage on power board? Probably main board issue
4. Swap the board
5. Put it back together
6. Should turn on. Good luck!
