In Season 5 Episode 1, during the scene where the Termites are slitting their throats, the reaction from the other survivors is genuine as they didn’t know about the blood oozing into the trough before starting the scene. They didn’t know about the neck prosthetics beforehand either. The first person that they kill is Sam from The Walking Dead: Indifference, and another reference to Indifference can be found a little later when Carol finds a watch at the Terminus store. It’s the same one that Rick lent to Sam in Indifference. Also, the same crazed man that Glenn releases from the train car is the same one who attacks Terminus at the end of the episode.
