What is good acting? In this clip, AnimSchool instructor Scott McWhinnie tackles this essential animation question and demonstrates how you can create good acting in your own animated shots. Though the technical aspects of animation are important, the acting and performance are key to animating a successful shot. Unlike a "good" arc or "good" spacing, "good" acting is subjective. However, Scott argues if you can understand just two things—who your character is and what they are trying to achieve—there's a strong chance you will have good acting in your shot.
