Serverless is the way to go for cloud computing services. Amazon Redshift has been a popular choice for migrating an inhouse data warehouse to Cloud. Now you have the best of both worlds with Amazon Redshift Serverless which is GA now. Amazon is also giving a $300 credit right now for using and exploring Redshift serverless which you can use for next 3 months. This is different from the free tier credit provided for new users and can be used by existing users as well. In the previous tutorial for beginners, I showed how to setup a default redshift serverless environment. In this video tutorial, I show how to configure a redshift serverless environment including setting up limits, alerts and query timeouts. I also show how to check the usage graphs. I also show how to load a sample database, run sample queries and calculate the total cost. For the demo, we use only about $5 from the $300 credit received.
