Are Golden Open Acrylics BETTER THAN OILS? ✎ Golden Open Acrylics review from an oil painter
I've been wanting to try acrylics, specifically Golden Open Acrylics, for a while, but it's safe to say that it didn't go how I expected it to.
I really wanted to love these paints but unfortunately, with the experience I currently have, I can't recommend them. Hopefully I can find a way to actually work with these paints going forward, and if any of you have tips to share I'm definitely willing to listen!
I knew that trying acrylics as an oil painter was going to be a weird experience, but I'd really hoped that the longer working time of Golden Open Acrylics would help bridge that gap a bit and make it a smoother transition, but nope! My first impressions of these paints are definitely negative, which really isn't how I wanted this review to go.
