Plot
Prologue
The game starts as two twins are fighting a mysterious woman. However, she captures one of the twins and sends away the other one, depending of the choice of the player. Afterwards, the twin meets Paimon while fishing. On their way, they encounters a dragon named Stormterror, which later attacks the town of Mondstadt. After saving the town, the twin meets Jean, and joins the Knights of Favonius and is sent to numerous temples as a trial. It is found out that the dragon's true name is Dvalin, and was once a guardian of Mondstadt. The twin encounters a bard named Venti, who is actually Barbatos, the god presiding over Mondstadt. Venti informs that to quell Dvalin's rage, they need to steal a lyre from the Cathedral. However, they are beaten by a member of the rival nation of Fatui, and are framed for the robbery. The twin and Venti take refuge in a tavern owned by Diluc, and is reunited with the leader of the Knights, Jean, who is working unofficially with the group to avoid destroying diplomatic relations with Fatui.
