Rice Pudding Recipe 🍚👇
Ok so like I said, I don't like rice pudding that much but I found this recipe that was with a bunch of other home recipes my mom would write down on scrap papers lol. I was intrigued by it because it said to bake it which I hadn't ever thought would be a method of making rice pudding. Anyways, I gave it a try because I always like my mom's food and knew I could trust it, and it was good!! The only thing I would mayyybe do different if I make it again, would be to put just slightly less raisins and a few additional sprinkles of nutmeg before baking.
3/4 c. uncooked rice
1/1/2 qts milk (6 cups)
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
3/4 c. seedless raisins
Wash rice. Add milk, sugar, nutmeg, salt. Place in buttered 2/1/2 quart baking dish. Bake at 325 degrees F for 2/1/2 hours, stirring 2x during 1st hour. Stir brown crust into pudding several times during baking. Add raisins 1/2 hour before pudding is done. Then allow crust to form again on pudding. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream if desired.
(I added cinnamon on top to serve) 😋
This was a very easy recipe to make. The only thing to keep in mind was the bake time was long and in order to remember to stir a few times throughout, I just set different timers. Good luck! Let me know how you like it if you make it!
