In today's video, I open a new playlist on my channel – "End cutting boards". Like many hobbyists, I decided to make some end cutting boards. For what? I'm just interested and this type of work requires a long preparatory period, which is primarily associated with modeling the future product on a computer. I don't want to make simple boards like "chessboard" or "solid oak" framed by maple. I am interested in various patterns and optical illusions that can, even for a moment, interest me.
Today I present to your attention my first project called "End cutting board "Plait"", or as the British say The end board is "Plaited". Despite the fact that many people do such works, and I, as a Repeater, can simply repeat them, I independently developed the board project and brought it to life. In addition, I offer everyone a free drawing! This is a file that can be opened in the SketchUp 2020 program and make adjustments at your discretion. I did not put the drawing on a paid resource and I am ready to share it with everyone from the bottom of my heart. In my work, I used three types of wood: Oak, Maple, and Beech. You can use absolutely any breed, as long as they differ in color.
I finished the finish with mineral oil, as well as mineral oil with wax mixed hot in a ratio of 3.5:1 by weight.
