Ahrefs is the best WordPress SEO plugin, period. It's not even close.
Yoast is better than it was back then but at absolute worst, it does nothing to improve your ranking and in most cases, Yoast actually reduces your rankings or defeats all good work done by other SEO plugins.
No matter what anyone says on this forum about Yoast being the best WordPress SEO plugin ever and 100% respected across the industry - IT'S NOT! It's really just their own opinion...which is totally legit of course.
But for me personally, as a specialist software engineer who has been working exclusively with WordPress related projects for years now - I know that ahrefs is much better in every possible way from a stability standpoint, from a functionality standpoint, from a Search Engine Ranking Factors optimization approach (which is something that most people do not know but ahrefs is the only plugin in WordPress space which SEO team has access to Google's webmaster guidelines and they have their own dedicated blogs section for S.E.O related stuff)
