Demonstrating the current capabilities of our lab's cardiac ultrasound simulator.
Currently outfitted for users to perform a transthoracic or transesophageal echo simulation!
Assets are patient-specific and have been anoymized. This allows users of our simulator to progress though a real ultrasound exam which has had actual clinical significance. Furthermore, the version shown here can switch between a normal heart and one which displays a specific pathology. As we continue to develop this simulator, we will add additional pathologies to expose users to a wide variety of rare, challenging, and educational clinical cases.
APIL's goal is to continue to develop this simulator. This includes developing better assets to increase realism, expanding the list of simulator-compatible devices, and adding more educational functionality for the user. As such, any feedback is greatly appreciated!
