How exactly the banners work in Genshin Impact.

Pity carries over for that specific banner type.
Banner types currently in game: Character Event Wish, Weapon Event Wish, Standard Wish
Standard Wish = 90 Summons and 1 random 5* from the general pool will appear.
(more likely to pop around 70-80 due to soft pity)
Weapon Event Wish = 80 Summons and you have an 80% chance to get 1 of the featured 5* weapon, 20% chance to get a random 5* weapon.
(more likely to pop 60-70 summons due to sofy pity)
Character Event Wish =
1st pity:
90 Summons and you get a 50% chance to get the featured 5* character, and a 50% to get a general pool 5* character.
(more likely to pop at 70 - 80 summons due to soft pity)
Hitting the featured character will reset banner back to 1st pit, hitting a general pool 5* will take you to 2nd pity.
2nd pity:
90 Summons and you are guaranteed the featured 5* character.
(more likely to pop 70-80 due to soft pity)
Will reset you back to 1st pity.
