ROCK CRAB CATCH AND COOK🦀
Growing up I used to go to New Jersey every summer to catch blue crab. Going for these guys were very reminiscent of that. The difference? Rock crab are much slower and more powerful. Going for these sea spiders you can expect to see a range of colors in the tide pools. Orange and purple sea stars, light green sea anemones, Red Sea urchins(those are sub-tidal though).
This is an easy catch and cook to make happen. The only thing is about them is there is a relative risk. If a crab gets a hold of your finger it can break it clean off. Be careful when handling/trying to catch them! They also have hard shells, I recommend a meat mallet to open them after cooking.
Rock crab are near several other species you’re able to catch and cook. Turban Snail, Limpet, Sea Urchin, Monkey-Face Eel, and even more fish(I say “more” because eel are fish). Catch and cook content on all species mentioned coming soon.

I truly have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to cooking. I started making my first meals in the last month or so by looking up recipes online, it’s a lot of fun and way easier than I thought though! If I’m able to make these delicious things anyone can do it, you can do it too!
