Is it MAKEUP or "MAKE UP"? Actually, we use both, but they have different meanings. MAKEUP (sometimes spelled MAKE-UP) is the stuff that you put on your face, and MAKE UP is a phrasal verb with many different meanings. This short and easy-to-understand video for English learners explains four of the main ways that we use the phrasal verb MAKE UP.
