#ReconstructingHope by building better in Peru: This week at #COP26 we are putting a spotlight on how the partnership between the UK and Peruvian governments is delivering resilient infrastructure in the pursuit of a sustainable future.
After severe damage caused by storms from El Niño in 2017, the Department for International Trade (DIT) signed a government-to-government (G2G) agreement with Peru in June 2020 to accelerate reconstruction of critical public facilities and flood-defending infrastructure.
This week at #COP26Glasgow, the DIT will premiere a new film - #ReconstructingHope - showing how Mace, Gleeds and Arup have formed the UK Delivery Team (UKDT) to collaborate with Autoridad para la Reconstrucción con Cambios to help Peru adapt to the climate emergency.
