This is part B of 13th session of Effective Teaching/Learning of Computer Programming workshop arranged for teachers. It was delivered by Prof. Deepak Phatak from IIT Bombay.
In this session he talked about handling digital images, image representation in a data file, XPM format, gray scale images, fingerprint images and processing gray scale images. He also explained the C program to converting a gray scale image to monotone.

This Effective Teaching/Learning of Computer Programming workshop for teachers was conducted from Dec 14 to Dec 24, 2009, under T10KT project, sponsored by NMEICT, MHRD, Government of India, New Delhi.
This workshop had been arranged for teachers at various Remote Centers. A large number of participating teachers were assembled at nearest Remote Centers of their colleges where IIT Bombay faculty delivered live lectures from IIT Bombay in distance mode through EDUSAT and
A-VIEW software.
