In this quick tutorial I show you how to unlock the true potential of the Maewing in ARK: Survival Evolved. The Maewing is an incredibly unique creature boasting loads of useful mechanics, but one of it's top shining features is it's sheer speed. In fact, in the right hands, the Maewing is one of the fastest, if not THE fastest creature in the entire game.
To unlock it's true potential there is very precise mechanic that you have to master. A Maewing's speed is based solely off of it's ability to catch a wind current and maintain the speed boost through camera positioning. After walking off of a ledge or jumping, quickly pull your camera downwards to begin acceleration, then pull your camera back upwards to capitalize on the wind current; once you've achieved maximum speed potential, even out your camera to maintain the momentum and altitude.
