How to Setup Advanced Share Permissions on Synology NAS (Windows ACLs)
In this video, I will be going over how to set up and use Advanced Share Permissions on Synology DSM. This allows you to add custom permissions to every file on the file server, not just the shared folders. Advanced Share Permissions adds a lot of complexity, so I only recommend it for businesses and users that really need advanced configurations for folder permissions. I will be covering two different methods for configuring advanced share permissions: 1, where you start with full access for everyone and remove specific things you don't want some groups to see; and 2, where you start with no access for anyone and add back in the folders you want groups to have access to.
