The second option being tested involves three belt-fed machine guns mounted on a stand. This setup offers a more feasible solution due to the sustained fire provided by the belt-fed mechanism. These machine guns use 12.7mm rounds, which are more powerful and effective than the 7.62mm rounds, increasing the likelihood of successfully countering drone threats. The ability to maintain continuous fire without the need for constant reloading makes this option more practical for defense scenarios where rapid response is crucial.

While neither of these improvised weapons can be considered the ultimate solution, they represent a significant effort to address the challenge of FPV drones. These homemade defenses may not be perfect, but they offer a better line of defense than having no countermeasures at all.
