Yamaha Hamamatsu Guitar Archive | Track Three - ‘Odd Pause’ | Paul Hindmarsh
Join Paul Hindmarsh as he explores the vast collection of rare and prototype instruments at the Yamaha Guitar Archive in Hamamatsu, Japan. Paul composed six short pieces as a musical tour of Yamaha’s unique guitar history.
This track is titled "Odd Pause" due to the time signature at the beginning. For this heavy rock piece, Paul started with an SB75 bass from 1973 - the precursor to the BB series.
Moving on to the rhythm part, Paul chose the 1993 Pacifica 1230S built for display at the NAMM show because "I loved the look on this hot-rodded Pacifica prototype and it felt right for this track."
For lead guitar, Paul used his favorite Pacifica, a prototype from 2004 with a maple and mahogany body.
Paul recorded into Cubase recording software from Steinberg, using the Line 6 Sonic Port VX interface and Helix Native plugin.
