ICYMI: Dr Nandipha and 5 others’ bail applications postponed in Thabo Bester case
The Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court had initially set down Wednesday and Thursday for a bail application to be heard for the four accused of aiding convicted murderer and rapist Thabo Bester to escape from the Mangaung Correctional Centre in May 2022. But following the arrest of Frans Makhotsa and Natasha Jansen, both the State and defence teams agreed that more time would be required to deal with the bail application. The case was postponed to 11 and 12 May for a formal bail application for all six accused.
