From 0 to Launch: How the Aptera IVI was Built in Less Than a Year
In this embedded systems project walkthrough, Brian Edmond explains how the teams from Aptera Motors and Crank Software produced a working in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system in record time, delivering a sophisticated user experience that “wowed” investors and customers, and kept within tight budget constraints.
To quickly bring the world’s most efficient vehicle to market, Aptera pursued an aggressive schedule for all automotive components, including the central infotainment display. Aptera used Crank Software's Storyboard framework and professional services team to combine UX design, embedded GUI development, and performance testing in parallel.
