সূরা রুম বা রোমান সম্রাজ্য– ৩০
৬০ আয়াত, ৬ রুকু , মক্কী
[ দয়াময়, পরম করুণাময় আল্লাহ্র নামে ]
ভূমিকা : পূর্বের ন্যায় এই সূরাতেও আলোচনা করা হয়েছে Ma’ad বা জীবনের শেষ পরিণতি সম্পর্কে , বিভিন্ন দৃষ্টিকোণ থেকে। পূর্বের সূরাতে বলা হয়েছে সময়ের পরিক্রমায় মানুষের জীবন কত দুর্বল। এই সূরাতে সময়ের পটভূমিতে মানুষের ক্রমবিকাশের ইতিহাস বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে। মানুষ দুনীর্তির আশ্রয় গ্রহণ করে থাকে, আল্লাহ্ তা পরিশুদ্ধ করেন। আল্লাহ্র বিশ্বজনীন পরিকল্পনা পরলোকের উদ্দেশ্যে নিবেদিত। পরবর্তী দুইটি সূরাতে [ ৩১ ও ৩২ ] একই বিষয় বস্তুকে অন্য পটভূমিতে বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে। সুতারাং এই চারটি সূরার [ ২৯, ৩০, ৩১ ও ৩২ ] প্রারম্ভে আলিফ, লাম, মিম কে স্থাপন করা হয়েছে।
এই সূরার সময়কাল গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ইঙ্গিত বহন করে। সূরাটি অবতীর্ণ হয় হিজরতের ৬ থেকে ৭ বৎসর পূর্বে। সম্ভবতঃ তা ছিলো ৬১৫ – ১৬ খৃষ্টাব্দ। সে সময়ে পারসিয়ানরা ছিলো অত্যন্ত শক্তিশালী এবং তারা রোম সাম্রাজ্যকে পরাজিত করে। রোমের খৃষ্টান রাজা জেরুজালেমের অধিকার হারান এবং অগ্নিপূজক পারসিয়ানরা তা দখল করে। সে সময়ে এ কথা ধারণারও বাইরে ছিলো যে, শক্তিশালী পারসিয়ানদের কারও পক্ষে পরাজিত করা সম্ভব। মোশরেক কোরেশরা ছিলো পারসিয়ানদের সমর্থক , সুতারাং তারা পারসিয়ানদের বিজয়ে উল্লাসিত হয়ে ওঠে এবং রসুলুল্লাহ্র [ সা ] উপরে ব্যঙ্গ -বিদ্রূপ ও অপমানের মাত্রা বাড়িয়ে দেয়। এর কারণ ছিলো রসুলুল্লাহ্র [সা] প্রচারিত বাণী ছিলো হযরত ঈসার জেরুজালেমে প্রচারিত বাণীর পুণর্জীবিতকরণ। উভয় বাণীই এক আল্লাহ্র নিকট থেকে আগত।
পারসিয়ানদের যুদ্ধ জয়ের সময়ে এই আয়াতগুলি [ ৩০ : ১ – ৬] অবতীর্ণ হয় যাতে পারসিয়ানদের পরাজয়ের পূর্বাভাষ দেয়া হয়েছে ; যা ছিলো পারস্য সাম্রাজ্য ধ্বংসের পূর্বাভাস। এই ভবিষ্যত বাণী ছিলো স্বয়ং আল্লাহ্ কর্তৃক দেয়া। সুতারাং তা যে কার্যকর হবে-ই সে সম্বন্ধে সন্দেহের কোন অবকাশ ছিলো না। তবুও মোশরেক কোরেশরা হযরত আবু বকরের সাথে এ ব্যাপারে বাজি রাখে এবং স্বাভাবিক ভাবেই বাজিতে হেরে যায়।
