What will Happened when we Connect LEDs in Series with 12v battery.
In this video, we’ll see what happens when we connect 3V LEDs to a 12V battery in different series configurations.
Let's start by connecting a 3V LED directly to a 12V battery. It burns out instantly due to the excess voltage. Next, we try two 3V LEDs in series, but they also burn out because the combined voltage exceeds their rating.
Now, we connect three 3V LEDs in series, and again, they burn out.
Next, we try four 3V LEDs in series. While the LEDs don’t burn out immediately, the brightness is significantly reduced due to the voltage being divided across all of them.
Finally, we connect five 3V LEDs in series. The total 12V is divided evenly, with each LED receiving 2.4V. They light up perfectly. As we add more LEDs, the brightness continues to decrease.
