PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION – Looking for an easy painting idea? Want a fun Halloween DIY project? Let me be your acrylic art instructor as I teach you easy step-by-step instructions throughout this fun beginner art video as you learn how to paint a steamy ghost emerging from a shiny metal teapot—a whimsical and fun Halloween painting “GHOSTLY TEAPOT” with acrylic paint. When I think of teapots two things come to mind. First, is brewing a nice warm cup of tea, usually some fruity flavor or one of these new exotic teas that one of my patreons sent me as a gift. Second, is that song we are all familiar with, I’m a Little Teapot. Come one! You know the words! Sing it! “I’m a little teapot short and stout. Here is my handle, here is my spout. When I get all steamed up hear me shout: tip me over and pour me out! I’m a very special pot, this is true. Here’s an example of what I can do. I can change my handle and my spout. Tip me over and pour me out!“. It’s just one of those songs that brings back childhood memories and one that always seems to bring a smile to people’s faces. However, it was that one line of, “When I get all steamed up, hear me shout” that was the inspiration for this painting. Being Halloween season, I couldn’t help but to want to change the word “shout” to “scream”, and when I think of scream, I think of ghosts, and then when I thought of the words “steamed up” right after, I put two and two together and thought of the steam being a ghost. And viola! Ghostly Teapot emerged! Actually, now that I think of it, I’m sure I could change most Nursery Rhymes into Halloween paintings. What would you do to give some famous children’s songs a Halloween twist, like Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Row, Row, Row Your Boat, Humpty Dumpty, Old Mac Donald Had a Farm, Itsy Bitsy Spider? The possibilities are endless! So, in the spirit of combining kids play songs and Halloween in a light-hearted and fun way, come learn how to paint a ghost and a teapot.
