Scream is an American murder mystery and slasher franchise that includes six films, a television series, merchandise, and games.
The first four films in the Scream franchise follow Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and her cyclical battle with a bevy of serial killers. She's the main player, a now-iconic final girl, and the real MVP. The murder of Sidney's mother is the beginning of a revenge plot to kill and/or frame Sidney for various reasons.
