This week in #PopCulturePatrol, ‪@civicstudios‬ and I talk to you about how the Harmonium made its way to India and its utaar chadaav bhara itihaas in this country.

West se aaya yeh instrument humidity se affect bhi nai hota tha. Haath mein pakkadne mein aasaan, zameen par beth kar bhi bajaa lo.. Indians toh celebrated it for its versatility. It was even introduced into the Marathi opera.
When the harmonium was finally banned for being anti-Indian on AIR, guess karo aur kya kya ban hua tha? Cricket commentary and many Bollywood film songs too!
