Easiest Way To Get Scrap in Rust [2021]: USE AT OWN RISK
The reason I will be mentioning a decoy base is because I was offline raided later that night by someone I killed with LOTS of loot. I also killed 2 people down there but got countered by 3 others right away so was not able to show how loaded in scrap/comps, garage door, etc. they were...
Step 1:
Build a decoy base near bandit camp AND/OR outpost to spawn in. I would recommend building near bandit camp as more people go there to purchase the mini copters. BOTH locations should do the job though!
Step 2:
Gather resources (see below for breakdown) and make a double barrel OR weapon of your choice. Make sure to change your physics.steps "32" if you have it on "60". This will affect how high you jump but you are less likely to get any projectile invalids in the process.
Step 3:
Camp Subway Tunnel/Hatch, Loot and run to the decoy base OR safe zone behind the hill area of bandit camp. You MAY need a decoy base if you're near outpost unless you can find a good position to not get shot.
Step 4:
F1 kill in the safe zone and grab your mini copter to transfer loot over. If you don't have a mini, you can either run the loot to your base, boat/car, OR purchase a mini IF you have enough scrap after the loot you got!
Step 5:

Bandit Camp:
Purchase Water Jugs and recycle for metal frags
Purchase F1 Grenades and recycle for gun powder/metal frags
Outpost:
Purchase metal frags with scrap
Purchase smoke grenades and recycle for gun powder/metal frags
Outpost has signs inside to get metal pipes/roadsigns and scrap needed to make DB - Bandit Camp is a bit riskier as you have to go on the road & outside the safe zone.
