This tutorial explains what a factorial is, and how factorials are used in formulas to solve permutation and combination problems, sometimes called n-choose-k problems, where k items are chosen from a set of n items. The video explains what is meant by "order matters", presents three formulas for solving these problems, and works through several example problems in detail that are typical of what you would find on the ACT or SAT standardized tests.
