Hii I am Suman Sahni welcome to our Youtube channel Suman's Academy
About this video
In this video I have explained about sentences and phrases with examples.
1.What is a sentence?
A group of words that makes complete sense is called as sentence.
2.What is a phrase?
A group of words that makes sense but is not complete sentence is called as phrase.
A phrase does not convey complete sense.
It does not have a subject and a verb.
3 Difference between sentence and a phrase.
A sentence gives you complete meaning while a phrase gives you incomplete meaning. So a group of words that gives you complete meaning is called as sentence while a group of words that doesn't give you complete meaning is called as phrase.
For eg.
PHRASE
In a garden ( these group of words does give complete meaning)
A phrase doesn't have a subject and a verb.
SENTENCE
They are in the garden. (these group of words gives you complete meaning)
Sentence has a subject, verb and an object.
