Meteorologist Ryan DePhillips expects unsettled weather to slowly drift out of eastern West Texas later today as some scattered showers with rumbles of thunder will eventually give way to sunshine. However, temperatures will be below normal with persistent northwesterly winds and drier air later in the day. Temperatures will struggle to reach the high 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s for most. As the backside of the storm system, the upper-level low pressure, moves eastward overnight, chilly air will be replaced by pleasantly mild air throughout the day tomorrow. Clearer skies with dry air will be back in the area with lighter northerly to easterly winds.
