There are many problems on the SAT® and ACT® involving equations of lines. they include finding the slope of a line. Either they give you you points or the equation of the line. If they give you two points, you must use the slope formula to find it. If they give you the equation you must change it into the slope-intercept for to pick out the slope. If they want the equation of the line given two points, first find the slope and use the slope and one of the points in the slope-intercept equation to find the b value.
