What is Tachyons?
Tachyons are a theoretical class of particles that are hypothesized to travel faster than the speed of light. They were first proposed by physicist Arnold Sommerfeld in 1904 and later developed by physicists George Sudarshan and Gerald Feinberg in the 1960s.
According to the theory, tachyons would possess an imaginary mass and would always travel faster than the speed of light. This would have some interesting consequences, such as the ability to travel back in time and violate causality, which is why the existence of tachyons is still a topic of debate among physicists.
Despite the theoretical possibility of tachyons, no experimental evidence for their existence has ever been found. It is possible that if they do exist, they may be too difficult to detect or interact with using our current technology. Nonetheless, the idea of tachyons remains an interesting and thought-provoking topic in physics and science fiction.
