Clothing Optional Polar Bear Swim - Ocean Beach San Francisco
Take the plunge and dive fearlessly into 2019 for a quick dip into the water at Ocean Beach on January 1, 2019 (assuming the waves aren’t insane and dangerous).
Start off the new year freezing and right with The Riptide. Meet down at the end of Taraval at the beach at around 11-11:30 am. At noon, the whistle blows so you take a run down the beach for a quick plunge into the Pacific Ocean. Then everyone races back to the The Riptide to get warm, hopefully with a spot next to their blazing fireplace.
The after-party kicks off immediately afterwards where you can purchase Irish Coffees, Hot Buttered Rum, Nutty Hot Chocolates, and their famous Bloody Marys.
The plunge is open to all ages and is free (and free-zing) to partake in, or you can just watch.
