At first this product seemed promising. I have many home videos on VHS that I've been holding onto for years, hoping I could convert them someday to a more stable format.
I tested the software to upload a video that was roughly 40 minutes long. I was able to add chapters on a menu screen with custom backgrounds, effects, and text. I felt like my precious videos had finally found a way for longevity. Then, when I tried to, burn the video onto a DVD, The Title Screen and Menu Screen were upside down! I thought to myself that was annoying but not that big a deal. Afterall, I could still navigate and play the video. including skipping to specific chapters.
Then I tried another video, again it was roughly 40 minutes long. I tried to capture it all in one block that I hoped to edit into chapters later. Unfortunately, the longer the video played after uploading, the more out of sync the sound got with the picture. I tried to load it in ten minute increments. That seemed to solve the problem with the sound, but then in trying to edit the segments into one film with chapters, the entire program crashed and dumped the project on which I was working. With a sense of persistence, I tried again and again. After the fifth attempt, all which lead to a crash and the file being completely dumped, I finally gave up.
